European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service
European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) adalah sistem satelit pembesaran berdasarkan (SBAS) yang dikembangkan oleh European Space Agency, Komisi Eropa dan Eurocontrol. Ini melengkapi GPS, GLONASS dan sistem Galileo dengan melaporkan pada keandalan dan keakuratan data posisi. Awal resmi operasi diumumkan oleh Komisi Eropa pada tanggal 1 Oktober 2009.
Menurut spesifikasi, akurasi posisi horisontal harus lebih baik dari tujuh meter. Dalam praktiknya, akurasi posisi horizontal di tingkat meteran. Sistem EGNOS terdiri dari empat satelit geostasioner dan jaringan stasiun darat.
Sistem ini mulai beroperasi awal bulan Juli 2005, dengan akurasi yang lebih baik dari dua meter dan ketersediaan di atas 99%; disertifikasi untuk digunakan dalam keamanan aplikasi kehidupan pada Maret 2011. Sebuah EGNOS Data Access Service menjadi tersedia pada bulan Juli 2012.
