Exxon Valdez

Dong Fang Ocean, sebelumnya bernama Exxon Valdez, Exxon Mediterranean, SeaRiver Mediterranean, S/R Mediterranean, Mediterranean adalah sebuah kapal tanker milik ExxonMobil yang terkenal setelah kandas dan menumpahkan minyak mentah sebesar 40.900 - 120,000 m3 (10.800.000 - 32,000,000 US gallon), atau 257.000 - 750.000 barrel[1][2] di daerah perairan Prince William, Bligh Reef, Alaska pada 24 Maret 1989, saat itu kapal ini dikemudikan oleh Kapten Joseph Hazelwood menuju Long Beach, California. Peristiwa ini merupakan tragedi buruk pencemaran laut oleh minyak kedua dalam sejarah Amerika Serikat[3] dan peringkat ke 54 di dunia.
