Folland Gnat
Folland Gnat adalah pesawat tempur jet subsonik ringan kecil dan jet latih (trainer) Inggris yang dikembangkan oleh Folland Aircraft untuk Royal Air Force, dan diterbangkan secara ekstensif oleh Angkatan Udara India.
Gnat ini dirancang oleh WEW Petter sebagai pengembangan usaha swasta Folland Midge dan pertama kali terbang pada tahun 1955. Desainnya memungkinkan pembangunan tanpa alat khusus oleh negara-negara tanpa industri tinggi. Meskipun tidak pernah digunakan sebagai pesawat tempur jet oleh Royal Air Force (RAF), varian pelatih Gnat T.1 secara luas digunakan. Gnat menjadi terkenal sebagai pesawat tim aerobatic Red Arrows RAF.
Gnat ini diekspor ke Finlandia, Yugoslavia dan India. Angkatan Udara India menjadi operator terbesar dan akhirnya memproduksi pesawat jet di bawah lisensi. India kemudian mengembangkan Ajeet HAL, varian modifikasi.
