Franz Josef Popp (14 Januari 1886 – 29 Juli 1954) adalah satu dari 3 orang yang mendirikan perusahaan BMW AG dan Direktur Utama pertama BMW AG dari tahun 1922 sampai 1942.

Beberapa nama lain juga dimasukkan ke dalam "penemu" dari BMW AG. Tanpa kehadiran Karl Rapp, Gustav Otto, Max Friz atau Camillo Castiglioni, mungkin perusahaan ini tidak akan pernah terbentuk. Tapi, Franz Josef Popp dapat mengklaim dirinya karena ia yang mengembangkan perusahaan yang kita kenal sekarang ini.
