Etimologi
Bintang ini memiliki nama tradisional Sulafat (Sulaphat), berasal dari bahasa Arab السلحفاة al-sulḥafāt yang berarti "kura-kura". Nama alternatif adalah Jugum, berasal dari bahasa Latin iugum berarti "penyeimbang". Nama lainnya untuk bintang ini adalah:
