Gandarusa, daun rusa, atau kisi-kisi (Justicia gendarussa Burm.f.) merupakan tumbuhan perdu tropis yang biasa dijumpai di pekarangan rumah, baik sendiri atau sebagai pagar hidup. Tumbuhan ini mudah tumbuh dan dapat diperbanyak dengan setek.
Khasiat pengobatan
Gandarusa memiliki efek analgetik, diuretik, dan antispermatozoa. Daunnya mengandung alkaloid yang berpotensi racun bagi manusia. Tumbuhan ini dilaporkan digunakan sebagai alat kontrasepsi pria oleh beberapa penduduk lokal Pulau Papua.[1] Hasil penelitian di Unair menunjukkan efek menekan kadar testosteron pada mencit melalui kadar polifenol tertentu (belum diketahui pasti) yang menurunkan aktivitas enzim hialuronidase pada spermatozoa sehingga sel sperma tidak mampu menembus dinding sel telur.[2]
