Garangan meller (Rhynchogale melleri) adalah sebuah spesies garangan kecil cokelat yang berasal dari sabana dan hutan-hutan di Afrika tenggara. Spesies ini menjadi satu-satunya anggota genus Rhynchogale.[2] Garangan meller merupakan hewan soliter dan nokturnal, memakan rayap atau serangga dan hewan kecil lainnya.[3] Meski lumayan langka, garangan ini mudah beradaptasi dan tidak terancam ancaman yang serius.

Taksonomi

Nama ilmiah Rhinogale melleri diusulkan oleh John Edward Gray pada 1865 untuk sebuah spesimen zoologis berupa garangan berbulu abu-abu cokelat dari Afrika Timur.[4] Spesies ini ditempatkan pada genus Rhynchogale oleh Oldfield Thomas pada 1894.[5]
