Garasbahia flexuosa adalah spesies tumbuhan air fosil yang hidup pada periode Kapur awal di Maroko.[1]

Deskripsi

Karakteristik vegetatif

Garasbahia flexuosa adalah tumbuhan air berizoma dengan batang ramping, bercabang, dan memanjang. Daunnya berbentuk elips hingga orbikular, peltata, dan memiliki tepi yang rata.[1]

Taksonomi

Publikasi

Spesies ini pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh Valentine A. Krassilov dan Flavio Bacchia pada tahun 2013.[1]

Spesimen tipe dikumpulkan dari Bukit Gara Sbaa, Maroko bagian tenggara.[1][2]

Tumbuhan ini ditempatkan dalam famili Cabombaceae.[1]

Etimologi

Nama generik Garasbahia berasal dari lokasi penemuan tipe, yaitu Gara Sbah, Maroko.[1] Epitet spesifik flexuosa berarti fleksibel.[3][1]
