Globul Bok

Pada astronomi, Globul Bok (dari Bart Bok, penemunya) adalah nebula gelap terisolasi dan relatif kecil, yang mengandung debu antarbintang padat dan gas, yang dapat memicu pembentukan bintang. Globul Bok ditemukan di dalam wilayah H II, dan biasanya memiliki massa sekitar 2[1] sampai 50 massa matahari yang berada pada dengan diameter sekitar 1 tahun cahaya (sekitar 4,5×1047 m3).[2] Mereka mengandung hidrogen molekuler (H2), oksida karbon dan helium, dan sekitar 1% debu silika. Globul Bok biasanya menghasilkan pembentuka sistem bintang ganda atau lebih.[3]
