Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (juga dikenal dengan nama Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement, disingkat IHEID atau Graduate Institute Geneva), didirkan tahun 1927, ketika masa Liga Bangsa-Bangsa, sebagai salah satu institusi pertama di dunia yang ditujukan pada pembelajaran hubungan internasional. Sebuah institusi kecil dan selektif dengan sekitar seribu mahasiswa dari 90 negara, institusi prestisius ini memperoleh reputasi pada: kualitas fakultas kosmopolitan, kekuatan ilmu disiplin inti (ekonomi, sejarah, hukum dan ilmu politik), pendekatan kebijakan terhadap urusan internasional, dan program pendidikan dwibahasa Inggris-Prancis. Tahun 2007, HEI bergabung dengan Institut universitaire d'études du développement dan menjadi Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID).
