Greenfield & Cook adalah duo musik, didirikan oleh Peter Cook (lahir 30 November 1949) dan Rink Greenfield (lahir 14 Desember 1948) dari The Hague dan sejak tahun 1967 sebagai Popshop. Pada tahun 1969 , mereka melanjutkan sebagai Greenfield & Cook. Mereka kadang-kadang disebut sebagai jawaban Belanda dari Simon and Garfunkel.[1] Greenfield & Cook terkenal lewat lagu mereka, "Only Lies."

Karier

Pada tahun 1970, Greenfield & Cook mempunyai lagu Tipparade pertama mereka lewat lagu "The End." Rekaman ini diproduseri oleh Jaap Eggermont. Greenfield & Cook mempunyai sejumlah hits, antara lain: "Don't Turn Me Loose," "Easy, Boy! (And We All Prayed Together)," "Melody," "Only Lies," dan "Where?" Pada tahun 1973, Greenfield & Cook menerima Silver Harp dari Conamus. Selepas total tujuh hits, Greenfield & Cook bubar pada tahun 1974.

Selepas bubar, duo musik tersebut memulakan karier solo yang sukar dipanggil sukses. Peter Cook menghadiri Nationaal Songfestival 1977 lewat lagu "Pinokio." Rink bekerja antara lain bersama kelompok Holland. Peter menjadi manajer Euson. Kemudian, Peter berangkat ke Chili setahun kemudian untuk menjadi pemilik perusahaan rekaman setempat.

Sekitar tahun 2014, Peter kembali ke Belanda, di mana dia mendirikan duo musik baru bersama Ronn van Etten pada tahun 2015 sebagai Newfield & Cook.[2] Newfield and Cook mengeluarkan album mini dengan dua lagu Greenfield & Cook dan dua lagu Newfield and Cook: "Good Ol' Sweet Country Feeling" (Ronn van Etten), sebuah lagu dari album, All Sorts.... One Guy karya Ronn van Etten, yang dirilis awal tahun itu, dan "When You Leave Me Behind" (Cook), diproduseri oleh Ronn van Etten.

Rink Greenfield telah lama tinggal di Perancis Selatan, sekarang Dordogne.[3]
