Gunung Kemiri merupakan salah satu gunung tertinggi di jajaran gunung di Pulau Sumatera dengan ketinggian 3.315 mdpl. Gunung ini berlokasi di Desa Gumpang Lempuh, Kecamatan Putri Betung, Kabupaten Gayo Lues, Provinsi Aceh.[1][2]

Waktu yang diperlukan untuk bisa mencapai puncak Gunung Kemiri ditempuh kurang lebih selama empat sampai enam hari.[3] Sepanjang perjalanan, pendaki akan melihat beraneka ragam flora dan fauna termasuk yang dilindungi di wilayah Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser. Selain itu, terdapat pula padang sabana yang berada di ketinggian 2.800 mdpl.
