Heinrich Robert Zimmer (1890–1943) adalah seorang Indolog dan sejarawan seni Asia Selatan, yang paling dikenal karena karyanya, Myths and Symbols in Indian Art and Civilization dan Philosophies of India. Ia adalah sarjana Jerman paling berpengaruh dalam Filologi India setelah Max Müller (1823-1900).[1]

Kehidupan pribadi

Pada 1929, ia menikahi Christiane, putri dari novelis Austria Hugo von Hofmannsthal. Zimmer meninggal karena pneumonia di New Rochelle, New York pada 20 Maret 1943.
