Houei Nojiri

Hōei Nojiri.

Hōei Nojiri (野尻 抱影, Nojiri Hōei, 15 November 1885 – 30 Oktober 1977) adalah seorang penulis esai dan astronom Jepang. Ia adalah saudara dari novelis Nojiri Haruhikoˀ, yang nama pena-nya adalah Osaragi Jirō.

Pada 1930, ia memakai kata Jepang Meiōsei (冥王星, "Bintang Raja (Dewa) Bawah Tanah") untuk menyebut planet yang baru ditemukan Pluto. Nama tersebut dipakai dalam bahasa Tionghoa, Korea, dan Vietnam.[1][2][3]
