Hutan Nemisa

Hutam Nemisa (Dewanagari: नैमिषारण्य; ,IAST: Naimiṣāraṇya, नैमिषारण्य) adalah suatu hutan keramat yang sering disebutkan dalam pustaka Hindu Purana, begitu pula dalam wiracarita Ramayana dan Mahabharata.[1][2] Hutan itu istimewa karena menjadi tempat dituturkannya kitab-kitab Purana untuk pertama kalinya, sebelum diadakannya persamuhan agung para resi.[3] Lokasi hutan kuno tersebut kini diidentifikasi sebagai Nimsar, di pinggir sungai Gomti, distrik Sitapur, negara bagian Uttar Pradesh, India.[2]
