INS Vikramaditya

INS Vikramaditya (Sanskrit: विक्रमादित्य, Vikramāditya, "Berani seperti Matahari") adalah nama baru dari kapal induk bekas Soviet Admiral Gorshkov, yang diproduksi di India, dan diperkirakan akan memasuki masa tugas bersama Angkatan Laut India setelah tahun 2012.[1]
Vikramaditya adalah Kapal induk kelas Kiev yang dimodifikasi, kapal ini dibangun pada tahun 1978 hingga 1982 di Galangan Laut Hitam, Mykolaiv, Ukraina. Kapal ini sekarang sedang diperbaiki besar-besaran di galangan Sevmash di Severodinsk, Oblas Arkhangelsk, Rusia. Kapal ini didapuk untuk menjadi pengganti kapal induk India satu-satunya yang bertugas sekarang, INS Viraat.
