Intel 80188

Intel 80188 adalah sebuah mikroprosesor variasi dari Intel 80186. 80188 memiliki 8-bit data bus bukannya 16-bit seperti pada 80186. Hal ini menyebabkan tidak terlalu sulit untuk menggabungkannya dengan perangkat periferal. Register 16-bit dan sebuah jangkauan alamat sebanyak satu megabita tetap tidak berubah dari versi dibawahnya. Jumlah instruksi yang dapat diproses adalah jutaan instruksi per detik.[1]

Seri ini umumnya digunakan untuk sistem benam sebagai sebuah pengendali mikro yang memiliki memori eksternal. Awalnya 80188 memiliki kecepatan 6 megahertz
