Ipilimumab (nama dagang Yervoy), adalah antibodi monoklonal yang bekerja untuk mengaktifkan sistem kekebalan tubuh dengan menargetkan CTLA-4, reseptor protein yang menurunkan sistem kekebalan tubuh.

Sel T sitotoksik (CTL) dapat mengenali dan menghancurkan sel-sel kanker. Namun, mekanisme penghambatan mengganggu penghancuran ini. Ipilimumab mematikan mekanisme penghambatan dan memungkinkan CTL berfungsi.[3]
