Islam adalah salah satu agama minoritas di Nepal. Berdasarkan sensus Nepal tahun 2011, 4,4% dari populasi penduduk negara Nepal (1.162.370 orang) adalah Muslim.[1]
Islam umumnya dianggap diperkenalkan oleh umat Islam India yang melakukan perjalanan ke Nepal dan kemudian menetap di sana.
Muslim Nepal bermukim di 74 distrik dari 75 distrik yang ada di Nepal. Dan mayoritas Muslim ada di wilayah Terai (dengan jumlah lebih dari lima puluh persen dari populasi Muslim Nepal), yaitu di distrik Banke, Rautahat, Kapilvastu, dan Parsa.[2]
Muslim Nepal menggunakan bahasa Nepali, Urdu, Hindi, dan beberapa bahasa lainnya.
Sebagian besar Muslim Nepal hidup di bawah garis kemiskinan.
