Istri Nuh

Istri Nuh adalah salah satu dari empat istri yang berada di atas Bahtera Nuh. Meskipun tidak disebutkan namanya dalam Alkitab (Kejadian 4:22; Kejadian 7:7), literatur apokrif mencantumkan 103 variasi nama dan kepribadiannya.[1]

Beberapa literatur apokrif mengidentifikasinya dengan Naama, putri Lamekh, dan dengan demikian merupakan keturunan Kain, tetapi Kitab Tobit deuterokanonika menyatakan bahwa istri Nuh adalah salah satu dari "kerabatnya sendiri" (Tobit 4:12). Dalam Gulungan Laut Mati, namanya adalah Emzara.[2]

Hal ini juga dapat ditemukan dalam Kitab Kejadian yang mengatakan, “Lamekh mengambil dua istri: yang satu bernama Adah, dan yang kedua bernama Zillah. Adah melahirkan Yabal... saudaranya bernama Jubal... Dan Zillah melahirkan Tubal-Kain... dan saudara perempuan Tubal-Kain bernama Naamah. (Kejadian 4:19–22)”[3]

Dalam Mandaeisme

Kitab Raja-Raja, kitab terakhir Mandaean Right Ginza,[4] merujuk pada Nuh (atau Sem)[5] istri bernama Nuraita (atau Nhuraitha, Anhuraita, di antara berbagai ejaan lainnya).[6] Terdapat beberapa kontradiksi antar teks, dan beberapa ambiguitas tekstual, mengenai patriark mana yang menikah dengan Nuraita; selain itu, Anhuraita tampaknya merupakan gabungan dari Nuraita dan Anhar, istri-istri Nuh dan Sem.[7]
