J-2X

J-2X adalah mesin roket kriogenik berbahan bakar cair yang direncanakan untuk digunakan pada roket Ares dari program Constellation NASA, dan kemudian Space Launch System. Dibangun di Amerika Serikat oleh Aerojet Rocketdyne (sebelumnya, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne), J-2X membakar propelan hidrogen cair kriogenik dan oksigen cair, dengan setiap mesin menghasilkan daya dorong 1.307 kN (294.000 lbf) dalam ruang hampa pada impuls spesifik (Isp) 448 detik (4,39 km/s). Massa mesin sekitar 2.470 kg (5.450 Lb), jauh lebih berat dari pendahulunya.[1][2]
