Jabir bin Zaid

Abu asy-Sya'tsa Jabir bin Zaid al-Yahmadi al-Azdi (bahasa Arab: أبو الشعثاء جابر بن زيد اليحمدي الأزدي) adalah seorang teolog muslim dan salah satu pembentuk aliran Ibadi,[1] denominasi islam terbesar ketiga. Jabir termasuk seorang tabi'in atau generasi kedua Islam dan menjadi pemimpin aliran Ibadi setelah kematian Abdullah bin Ibad.[2][3]

Kehidupan

Jabir bin Zaid lahir di desa Firaq, di dekat Nizwa sekarang di Oman.[1] Sebagai seorang tabi'in dari generasi kedua muslim, dia adalah murid dari istri Nabi Muhammad, Aisyah dan sepupu Nabi, Abdullah bin Abbas.[1]
