James H. Grayson


James H. Grayson atau James Huntley Grayson adalah seorang Koreanis dan peneliti sejarah dan budaya Asia Timur.[1] James H. Grayson bergelar emeritus Jurusan Studi Korea di Universitas Sheffield.[1]

Penelitian Grayson menyangkut dua buah kategori utama, yaitu difusi agama antar kebudayaan, dan analisis tentang agama dan kerangka konseptual intelektual Korea dan masyarakat Asia Timur.[1] Penelitiannya dilakukan dengan pendekatan antropologi terhadap sejarah kuno dan modern Korea. Penelitiannya antara lain telah dilakukan di Korea, Jepang, dan Okinawa.

Setelah pensiun, Prof. Grayson banyak berkontribusi sebagai pembina SEAS (Jurusan Studi Asia Timur) di Universitas Sheffield, seperti bidang sejarah dan agama Korea dan Asia Timur, masyarakat kontemporer Korea dan cerita rakyat Asia Timur.[1]
