James Adam Ponsoldt (lahir 1978) adalah seorang sutradara film, aktor dan penulis skenario Amerika.[2] Dia menyutradarai film drama Off the Black (2006), Smashed (2012), drama komedi romantis The Spectacular Now (2013), drama The End of the Tour (2015) dan The Circle (2017).

Kehidupan awal

Ponsoldt lahir di Athens, Georgia. Dia adalah putra dari James F. dan Susan E. Ponsoldt, dan cucu dari seniman grafis William Teason.[3] Ayahnya adalah pensiunan profesor hukum yang sebelumnya bekerja di University of Georgia.[4] Dia dibesarkan di Athens dan bersekolah di Cedar Shoals High School.
