Jean de Joinville

Jean de Joinville (s. 1 Mei 1224 – 24 Desember 1317) adalah salah satu pembuat kronik besar di Prancis pada Abad Pertengahan. Ia paling dikenal karena menulis Kehidupan St. Louis, sebuah biografi Louis IX dari Prancis yang menghadapi Perang Salib Ketujuh.

Biografi

Sebagai putra dari Simon de Joinville dan Beatrice d'Auxonne, ia berasal dari sebuah keluarga bangsawan asal Champagne.
