Joan Elizabeth Higginbotham (lahir 3 Agustus 1964) adalah seorang insinyur Amerika Serikat dan mantan antariksawati NASA. Ia ikut dalam misi pesawat ulang alik Discovery STS-116 sebagai spesialis misi[1] dan merupakan wanita Afrika Amerika ketiga yang pergi ke luar angkasa, setelah Mae Jemison dan Stephanie Wilson.[1]
