Jon Halliday

Jon Halliday adalah seorang sejarawan Irlandia yang mengkhususkan diri dalam Asia modern. Ia adalah mantan Anggota Penelitian Kunjungan Senior di King's College London.
Halliday telah menulis atau menyunting delapan buku, termasuk sebuah biografi dari pembuat film AS Douglas Sirk. Selain itu, ia dan istrinya, Jung Chang, yang sama-sama tinggal di Notting Hill, London Barat, meneliti dan menuli sebuah biografi dari Mao Zedong, Mao: the Unknown Story, yang meraih pujian dari pers terkenal tetapi dikritik secara serius dari para sarjana dan sejarawan.
Jon Halliday adalah adik dari akademisi dan penulis hubungan internasional Irlandia Fred Halliday.[1]
