Jure uxoris

Jure uxoris adalah istilah dalam Bahasa Latin yang berarti "karena hak yang diperoleh dari istrinya" atau "dalam hak istri".[1] Istilah ini digunakan untuk gelar-gelar kerajaan atau kebangsawanan seseorang yang mana pada dasarnya gelar tersebut disandang (memiliki hak atas) oleh istrinya. Atau bisa disebut, suami dari pewaris takhta wanita dapat menjadi pewaris takhta pula secara jure uxoris. Kerajaan yang menganut sistem Jure uxoris tidak dibingungkan dengan gelar Raja pendamping, yang hanya bertindak menjadi pendamping, bukan pengambil kebijakan.
