Kaala Patthar (bahasa Hindi: काला पत्थर, bahasa Indonesia: Batu Hitam) adalah sebuah film drama bencana Bollywood India tahun 1979, berdasarkan pada bencana pertambangan Chasnala. Film tersebut diproduksi dan disutradarai oleh Yash Chopra, dengan sebuah skenario yang ditulis oleh Salim-Javed. Film tersebut adalah kolaborasi keempat antara Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor dan sutradara Yash Chopra setelah Deewaar (1975), Kabhie Kabhie (1976) dan Trishul (1978).

JA: I write dialogue in Urdu, but the action and descriptions are in English. Then an assistant transcribes the Urdu dialogue into Devnagari because most people read Hindi. But I write in Urdu.
