Kaftor

Kaftor (Ibrani: כפתור) adalah sebuah wilayah yang disebutkan dalam Alkitab, di mana bangsanya disebut Kaftorit atau Kaftorim dan disebut sebagai sebuah divisi dari Mesir kuno.[1] Kaftor juga disebtukan dalam tulisan-tulisan kuno dari Mesir, Mari, dan Ugarit. Sumber-sumber Yahudi menampatkan Kaftor di kawasan Pelusium, meskipun sumber-sumber modern mengaitkannya dengan wilayah-wilayah seperti Kilikia, Siprus atau Kreta.[2]
