Mary Katherine Linaker (19 Juli 1913 – 18 April 2008) adalah seorang aktris dan penulis skenario asal Amerika yang muncul di banyak film biru selama tahun 1930-an dan 1940-an, terutama Kitty Foyle (1940) yang dibintangi Ginger Rogers. Linaker menggunakan nama pernikahannya, Kate Phillips,[2] sebagai penulis skenario, terutama untuk hit film kultus The Blob (1958). Dia dikreditkan dengan menciptakan nama "The Blob" untuk film tersebut, yang awalnya berjudul "The Molten Meteor".[1]
