Monarchidae adalah sebuah keluarga dari lebih dari 100 burung pengicau. Kebanyakan burung dalam genus ini dikenal dengan nama kehicap tetapi ada pula spesiesnya yang bernama sikatan atau branjangan-lumpur walau bukan branjangan sejati. Monarchidae adalah burung penyanyi insektivora dengan ekor panjang. Mereka menghuni hutan di belahan Afrika sub-Sahara, Asia tenggara, Australasia dan sejumlah pulau Pasifik. Hanya sedikit spesies dari keluarga tersebut yang bermigrasi.[1]
