Laba-laba pertapa (Loxosceles), atau yang dikenal sebagai laba-laba cokelat dan laba-laba biola, adalah sebuah genus laba-laba yang pertamakali dideskripsikan oleh R. T. Lowe pada 1832.[4] Laba-laba pertapa adalah laba-laba berbisa yang dikenal dengan gigitannya, yang terkadang dapat menghasilkan serangkalian gejala-gejala yang bernama loksoselisme.

Sekarang, laba-laba pertapa diidentifikasi sebagai anggota dari famili Sicariidae, namun sebelumnya ditempatkan pada familinya sendiri, Loxoscelidae. Meski laba-laba pertapa ini ditakuti, mereka biasanya tidak agresif.[5]
