Laras halus
Laras halus adalah istilah untuk senjata yang tidak memiliki ulir pada larasnya. Hal ini lumrah ditemui pada senjata api era pengisian dari ujung laras karena kemudahan pengisian peluru dengan mengorbankan akurasi. Kini, laras halus digunakan kembali pada sebagian meriam tank pasca-Perang Dunia II karena kecepatan lontaran proyektil yang jauh lebih tinggi dibanding laras ulir dan ketahanan yang jauh lebih lama. Laras halus juga dipakai oleh senapan gentel dan mortir.
