Lathraea (toothwort) merupakan genus kecil yang terdiri atas lima hingga tujuh spesies tumbuhan berbunga yang berasal dari wilayah beriklim sedang di Eropa dan Asia. Semua anggotanya merupakan tumbuhan parasit yang hidup dengan menempel pada akar tumbuhan lain, sepenuhnya tanpa memiliki klorofil. Dalam sistem klasifikasi, genus ini termasuk ke dalam famili Orobanchaceae.

Etimologi

Nama genus Lathraea berasal dari bahasa Yunani Kuno λαθραῖος (lathraîos), yang berarti "tersembunyi" atau "rahasia",[1] mengacu pada sifat tumbuhan ini yang sulit terlihat di alam sampai saat ia mulai berbunga.[2]
