Legend of the Patriots (Hangul: 전우; Hanja: 戰友) merupakan daur ulang dari drama tahun 1975, Comrades.[1] Produksi ini dilahirkan untuk memperingati peringatan ke-60 tahun Perang Korea.[2][3] Cerita berpusat pada kehidpan dari sebelas tentara Korea yang bertempur dalam Perang Korea.[4] Sutradara Kim Sang-Hwi mengatakan bahwa seri ini bukan tentang ideologi Korea Selatan dan Utara, melainkan berfokus pada perjuangan rakyat biasa yang hidup melalui perang.[2]
