Leptothrium adalah genus tumbuhan dari Afrika, Asia, dan Neotropis dalam suku rumput-rumputan (Poaceae).[2]

- Leptothrium senegalense (Kunth) Clayton - Afrika dari Tanjung Verde hingga Tanzania dan Mesir; Semenanjung Arab, Iran, Afganistan, Pakistan

Nama Leptothrium dalam pengertiannya saat ini dicetuskan oleh Karl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1829.[4] Penulis yang sama pernah menggunakan nama yang sama sebelumnya, pada tahun 1816, untuk merujuk pada spesies anggrek.[5] Hal ini tampaknya merupakan suatu kekeliruan, dengan nama tersebut hanya dicantumkan sebagai sinonim, namun nama tersebut tetap diterbitkan sehingga harus dianggap sebagai homonim. Satu nama spesies dicetuskan pada tahun 1816 menggunakan homonim ini, yaitu:
- Leptothrium lineare (Jacq.) Kunth dalam F.W.H.von Humboldt, A.J.A.Bonpland & C.S.Kunth 1816, sinonim dari Isochilus linearis (Jacq.) R.Br. dalam W.T.Aiton 1813[6][7]
