Lobkovice

Istana Lobkovice pada musim dingin.

Istana Lobkovice terletak antara Praha and Melnik dari Daerah Bohemia Tengah, Ceko.

Lobkovice adalah salah satu desa tertua Ceko, sudah disebutkan oleh Václav Hájek dari Libočany pada zaman Santo Wenceslaus dan Saint Albert.

Pada paruh kedua abad ke-14 Lobkovice menjadi milik Mikuláš Cotr, warga Praha, dan pada tahun 1377 warisan tersebut menjadi milik J. Cucha dari Zásada.

Lobkovice diambil alih oleh Mikuláš Chudý dari Újezd, pendiri House of Lobkowicz, pada tahun 1409, dan tinggal dengan keluarga sampai abad kesembilan belas, ketika dibeli oleh pengacara Praha, Dr Jan Mechura, ayah-hukum sejarawan František Palacky, yang secara teratur tinggal, menulis dan meninggal di sana (di 1876). Beberapa tahun kemudian, Pangeran Moric dari Lobkovice membeli kembali kursi keluarga. Pada tahun 1948, warisan itu dinasionalisasi oleh pemerintah sosialis.

Kawasan Lobkovice telah dikembalikan setelah Revolusi Velvet Praha, ke cucu dari pemilik terakhir sebelum tahun 1948, Pangeran Ferdinand Joseph Lobkowicz.
