Logam ferro

Logam ferro adalah logam paduan dengan unsur besi sebagai penyusun utama dibandingkan dengan jenis logam lainnya. Di permukaan Bumi, bahan pembuatan logam ferro tersedia dengan jumlah yang melimpah. Proses penambangan serta pengolahan bahan pembuatan logam ferro membutuhkan biaya yang tidak mahal. Keunggulan dari logam ferro adalah memiliki sifat-sifat mekanik maupun fisik yang kuat. Sedangkan kelemahannya adalah mudah mengalami korosi.[1]
