Lophopogonius adalah genus kumbang tanduk panjang yang tergolong famili Cerambycidae. Genus ini juga merupakan bagian dari ordo Coleoptera, kelas Insecta, filum Arthropoda, dan kingdom Animalia.

Genus ini pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh LeConte pada tahun 1862.[1] Secara hierarki ilmiah, Lophopogonius merupakan bagian dari ordo Coleoptera, kelas Insecta, filum Arthropoda, dan kingdom Animalia.

Genus Lophopogonius sebenarnya adalah genus monotipik (hanya memiliki satu spesies).[2]

Larva kumbang dalam genus ini biasanya mengebor ke dalam kayu dan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada batang kayu hidup atau kayu yang telah ditebang.
