Lotus Notes adalah sebuah perangkat lunak yang merupakan kolaborasi dari client dan server. Lotus notes mampu megkolaborasi fungsi email, kalender, manajemen daftar alamat, to-do, instant messaging, Lotus Symphony, dan mengkoneksi ke aplikasi dan database Lotus Domino lainnya.
Sejarah
Lotus Notes dibuat oleh Lotus Development Corp. pada tahun 1989. Pada tahun 1995, Lotus diambil alih oleh IBM dan sejak saat itu Lotus Notes menjadi bagian dari grup perangkat lunak IBM. IBM menyebut Lotus Notes sebagai perangkat lunak yang mudah dipakai, satu pintu untuk mengakses apapun yang diperlukan untuk mempercepat pekerjaan termasuk aplikasi bisnis, surat elektronik, kalender, dan lainnya.[1][2] As of October 4, 2011 Lotus Notes was in release 8.5.3.
