Macan dahan sumatra[1][2] (Neofelis diardi diardi) adalah suatu upajenis dari Macan dahan Sunda yang merupakan hewan asli dari Sumatra dan Kepulauan Batu di Sumatera Utara.[3] Macan ini dibedakan dari Macan dahan kalimantan dari ciri-ciri molekular, tengkorak, tulang rahang, dan gigi.[4] Macan ini diakui sebagai upajenis dari Macan dahan Sunda yang resmi pada tahun 2017.[5]
Sebaran geografis dan habitat
Hewan ini tercatat ditemui di Taman Nasional Kerinci Seblat (Jambi & Sumatera Barat), Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser (Aceh & Sumatera Utara), serta Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan (Bengkulu & Lampung).[6][7][8]
