Mao, Chad

Air disediakan oleh menara air, didirikan oleh GTZ, NGO Jerman pada akhir tahun 1980an.

Mao adalah sebuah kota yang terletak di Chad. Kota ini merupakan ibu kota dari daerah Kanem dan departemen Kanem. Pada tahun 1993, kota ini memiliki populasi sebesar 13.277 jiwa. Seperti halnya di daerah Chad lainnya, Mao dikuasai baik oleh Sultan tradisional dan pemerintah pusat.

Terletak di perbatasan gurun Sahara, geografi Mao ditandai dengan padang pasir dan vegetasi.

Mayoritas agama kota Mao adalah Islam, namun terdapat 2 gereja Kristen (satu Gereja Katolik Roma dan satu lagi Gereja Kristen Protestan di Mao.

Kota ini juga memiliki bandara kecil.
