Maser hidrogen

Maser adalah sebuah amplifier (penguat) yang membentuk gelombang elektromagnetik koheren disebabkan oleh emisi buatan.

Dari sejarahnya, istilah ini berasal dari "microwave amplification by stimulated emission of radiation." Ini mengarah ke penemuan laser optik. Namun, sekarang banyak materi yang dibuat secara besar-besaran mencakup spektrum lebar radiasi elektromagnetik, bukan hanya di pita (band) microwave. Jenis maser ini sering disebut sebagai laser microwave atau maser microwave. Ini untuk membedakan dari, sebagai contoh, maser radio atau laser radio, yang bekerja dalam daerah frekuensi radio (dan sering hanya disebut sebagai maser atau sekali-sekali raser).
