Mavronéri (dalam bahasa Yunani berarti: “Air Hitam”) adalah sungai yang diidentifikasikan sebagai sungai Styx dari mitologi Yunani sesuai dengan deskripsi Hesiod dalam puisi Teogony. Terletak dekat dengan Nonakris di Pegunungan Aroania, Achaia di semenanjung Peloponnesia.
Ilmuwan Universitas Stanford, Antoinette Hayes dan Adrienne Mayor berspekulasi bahwa perairan Mavronéri digunakan untuk meracuni Aleksander Agung pada 323 SM.[1]
