Meriam Besar

Meriam Besar Tiongkok adalah sebuah alat serangan yang dipakai untuk menyebarkan serangan-serangan penyangkalan layanan ke situs-situs web dengan mengutak-atik sejumlah besar lalu lintas web dan mengalihkannya ke situs-situs web yang dituju.[1] Menurut para peneliti di Citizen Lab, International Computer Science Institute, dan Pusat Kebijakan Teknologi Informasi Universitas Princeton, yang mencetuskan istilah tersebut, Meriam Besar membajak lalu lintas web asing untuk dialihkan ke situs-situs web Tiongkok dan memanfaatkannya untuk membanjiri server-server web yang dituju dengan sejumlah besar lalu lintas dalam upaya mengganggu operasi-operasi mereka. Meskipun disamakan dengan Tembok Api Besar, Meriam Besar adalah "sebuah sistem serangan terpisah, dengan kemampuan dan rancangan berbeda."[2]
