Mesir Hilir
Mesir Hilir adalah bagian paling utara dari Mesir. Daerah ini meliputi wilayah Delta Sungai Nil yang subur, yang membujur dari daerah di sekitar El-Aiyat dan Zawyet Dahshur, selatan Kairo yang ada sekarang, dan Laut Tengah.
Mesir Hilir dikenal sebagai Ta-Mehu yang berarti "tanah papirus." Wilayah ini terbagi ke dalam dua puluh distrik yang disebut nome. Nome pertama yang terbentuk adalah el-Lisht.
Iklim di Mesir Hilir lebih bersahabat daripada iklim di Mesir Hulu. Suhu udara tidak begitu tinggi dan hujan yang turun juga lebih banyak.
Ibu kota Mesir Hilir adalah Buto. Dewi penjaganya adalah Wadjet, dewi ular kobra. Mesir Hilir diwakili oleh Mahkota Merah pendek Deshret, dan simbol negaranya adalah papirus.
