Michael Cooperson

Michael Cooperson adalah seorang cendekiawan Amerika dan penerjemah sastra Arab.[1] Dia adalah profesor bahasa Arab di UCLA. Dia telah menulis dua buku: Classical Arabic Biography: The Heirs of the Prophets in the Age of al-Ma'mun dan Al-Mamun (Makers Of The Muslim World). Ia telah menerjemahkan sejumlah karya dari bahasa Arab dan Prancis, termasuk:

Cooperson juga pernah mengajar di Sekolah Bahasa Arab Middlebury dan Universitas Stanford.

Pada tahun 2021, ia memenangkan Penghargaan Buku Sheikh Zayed untuk terjemahan dari bahasa Arab ke bahasa Inggris.[2]
