Michael Emerson (lahir 7 September 1954)[1] adalah aktor dan pemeran film dan televisi Amerika. Ia dikenal dengan perannya sebagai pembunuh berantai bernama William Hinks dalam The Practice, Benjamin Linus dalam Lost (serial televisi), Zep Hindle dalam episode pertama film Saw, dan saat ini berperan sebagai Harold Finch dalam serial televisi Person of Interest yang ditayangkan di kanal CBS.

Kehidupan awal

Michael lahir di Cedar Rapids, Iowa dari pasangan Carol dan Ronald H. Emerson.[2] Kemudian ia tinggal di Toledo, Iowa dan menempuh pendidikan di South Tama County High School. Tahun 1976, ia lulus dari Universitas Drake setelah menempuh kuliah di jurusan seni dan teater, dan mengikuti pendidikan selama satu semester di National Theater Institute at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center,[3] Pada tahun yang sama, ia pindah ke New York.
