Michael Palairet
Sir Michael Palairet KCMG (29 September 1882 – 5 Agustus 1956) adalah seorang diplomat Inggris yang menjadi menteri untuk Rumania, Swedia dan Austria, dan menteri dan duta besar untuk Yunani.
Kehidupan awal
Palairet adalah putra dari Charles Harvey Palairet, melalui pernikahannya dengan Emily Henry. Setelah ibunya meninggal, pada 1888 ayahnya menikah untuk kedua kalinya dengan Nora Hamilton Martin.[1] Palairet dididik di Eton College dan menjalani waktu di Prancis dan Jerman untuk menunjang bahasa-bahasanya sebelum bergabung dengan Layanan Diplomatik pada 1905.
Kehidupan pribadi
Palairet menikahi Mary de Vere Studd (1895–1977), orang yang dilukis oleh Augustus John. Keduanya berpindah ke Katolik Roma. Pada 1947, putri mereka Anne Mary Celestine Palairet (1916–1998) menikahi Julian Asquith, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith di Brompton Oratory.[2]
